REVIEW – For many years, we have used a Dyson vacuum in our home for vacuuming, and a regular mop for mopping. Every so often, my wife complains when she has a lot to do, that the task of vacuuming and mopping would be so much easier if she could use one device that does both. We do have a robot WashVac, but she wants something that she has more control over and can finish the tasks much quicker. Enter the Proscenic WashVac F20 Cordless Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner.

The Proscenic WashVac F20 Cordless Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner features the ability to vacuum and was floors simultaneously utilizing its strong suction. The roller brush cleans wood floors/tile surfaces/cement floors, etc, and mops them as well.  Additional functions include Electrolyzed Water Sterilization, Self Drying, and Self Cleaning combined, and the air circulation on its brush roller is rapid enough to effectively prevent molds, germs, and odors from growing, leaving no bad smells both before and after cleaning. This WashVac has a drive mechanism that turns its wheels automatically so that you do not need to push it back and forth manually when cleaning. The infrared sensor on its brush head can intelligently detect both wet spills and dry dirt, and automatically adjust suction power and water volume to the optimal level in smart mode.

The Proscenic WashVac F20 Cordless Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner is made mostly of ABS/Plastic and features a handle with touch button controls, a water/debris compartment, a removable battery, and a charging base. Proscenic’s Floor Cleaning Solution is also required if you want to clean with anything other than plain water. There is also a LED display on the top of the main body of the vacuum that shows the selected mode, charging level, etc.

The first thing to do is charge the WashVac fully and install and connect the app from your smartphone. This was all very easy and straightforward. The app connects to the WashVac via Bluetooth.

The Proscenic WashVac F20 Cordless Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner vacuums, and mops the floor by simply selecting the mode which is done via the app.  The mode that is selected in the app is displayed on the vacuum: The following are some additional screenshots from the app:

The next step was to add the cleaning solution. Now I must pause at this step to recall the entire experience. initially, the Proscenic WashVac F20 was delivered to me without any cleaning fluid. While testing, my wife decided to use a mixture of mild detergent and water to clean the tiled kitchen floors. After a few minutes the Washvac stopped working., meaning, it stopped producing any liquid. I checked everything and nothing was blocked. I still do not quite understand what happened, but apparently, only the Proscenic Floor Cleaning Solution can be used, and apparently, our use of a mild cleaning mixture, damaged the Washvac. Eventually, Proscenic sent another sample so that I could continue testing. This next photo shows my wife pouring the Proscenic Cleaning Solution into the reservoir:

Once the cleaning solution was added and the containers were reattached to the vacuum, it was time to take it for a test run including testing the modes:

The WashVac did a good job cleaning both the tiles and the floor. The one issue that my wife encountered was that in the process of vacuuming, it picked up some small particles, and somehow it scratched the floor. Here is what was picked up once the vacuuming and self-cleaning were done:

The Proscenic WashVac F20 Cordless Wet Dry Vacuum Cleaner is a good mop/vacuum with some nice features, but with some drawbacks that IMHO make it a challenge for everyday use. The fact that depending on the debris on the floor it can scratch the floor, the fact that it uses a lot of battery power and would require recharging for a large space, and the fact that the only cleaning solution that it seems to be able to use is not quickly and readily available make it a pass for me if I was going to choose to purchase a device like this.

Price: $329.00 Where to buy: Proscenic website and Amazon Source: The sample for this review was provided by Proscenic
